Home care from a team that knows the West Valley
Wellby serves families across Sun City, Sun City West, Sun City Grand, and Sun City Festival with non-medical home care built for the rhythm of an age-restricted community. The houses here were designed for aging in place: single-story, step-free entries, walk-in showers, rec centers a short drive away. The care we provide was built for the same thing, by people who understand that a day in Sun City is not just doctor appointments and bills, it is also the shuffleboard league at 10 and the pottery class on Wednesdays.
Many of our Sun City calls come from husbands and wives who have been caring alone for longer than they should have. A wife at Sun City West whose husband's Parkinson's has progressed past what she can lift. A husband at Sun City Grand whose wife's dementia means he has stopped sleeping through the night and has not been to his own cardiologist in a year. The adult children often live in California or Chicago and are trying to help from a distance. When a parent is discharged from Banner Boswell Medical Center or Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center, we coordinate with the care team so the transition home goes the way the doctors hoped.
Other calls are quieter. A widow in the original Sun City who has been eating breakfast at the rec center every day but has stopped going to the Tuesday-night dinners because no one is driving her anymore. A never-married resident at Bell Camino who moved here for the golf and has outlived most of the people on his street. A snowbird couple at Sun City Festival whose adult children want coverage for the months they are back in Minnesota. Wellby caregivers handle personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, companionship, mobility support, and transportation. For medical needs, contact your physician.
Employees, not contractors
Most home care agencies in Sun City staff shifts with 1099 contractors. Wellby hires W-2 employees, trains them, and carries the payroll, workers comp, and liability ourselves. One company answers the phone, and one company stands behind the caregiver in your parent's home.

Yes. We regularly work with families coming home from Banner Boswell Medical Center and Banner Del E. Webb Medical Center, and we communicate with care teams as directed by the family. We do not provide medical care ourselves, and we work alongside any home health nurses your doctor orders.
Most Wellby engagements start at a 4-hour minimum shift. We can walk through what fits your family in the free consultation.
Arizona does not license non-medical home care agencies. Individual caregivers working with vulnerable adults are required to hold an Arizona Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance Card, which all Wellby caregivers carry. Wellby is also insured and bonded, and our caregivers are W-2 employees covered by workers compensation and general liability insurance.
